Troubleshooting Guide
If you experience trouble downloading, installing, or running Minions of Mirth, please verify the following first:
1. Make sure you are running the game from the latest installer available in the Downloads section on the left hand window.
2. Verify that you meet the minimum System Requirements.
3. Set your firewall software to allow Minions of Mirth or is disabled.
Note: Vista users please see this post on running the game as an administrator.
Black Screen
1. Make sure you have installed the latest version of DirectX:

2. If you have an ATI Radeon video card, the latest drivers are available here:

We have just been made aware that Minions of Mirth may not run in full-screen mode on Mac OS X Leopard patch 10.5.3. A situation unfortunetly affecting most 3D applications on the Mac - which Apple Computer is currently aware of.
Until then, if you run into problems while playiing Minions of Mirth in fullscreen mode on Mac OS X patch 10.5.3, may we suggest playing Minions of Mirth in windowed mode instead. If you want to keep the high resolution, there's a 'cheat' around the resolution menu:
1. set the dock to hide
2. set options to fullscreen, choose highest resolution and apply
3. hit command-enter
Drawback is that the System Menu will remain visible.
Problems Connecting to an Online Game Server
1. All servers are restarted at 5 am CST every day. Players will be unable to connect for about 5 minutes during this time.
2. Verify that no patches or maintenance is occurring. This information is posted in the News and Updates section of the forums.
3. If you are receiving an error stating "This account is currently in use. If you recently logged out of a world server, please wait a few minutes before trying to reconnect." and it has been over 5 minutes. Please email support@prairiegames.com with your Minions of Mirth Public Name.
Cannot Patch to Premium and it has been over 24 hours since my order was submitted
1. Add support@prairiegames.com to your address book to prevent emails from going to your Spam/Trash folder.
2. If you previously registered the Free Edition with a different email address than the one you used to place your order, send an email to support@prairiegames.com. Make sure to include your order confirmation and the Public Name you want the account assigned to. Please note that forum registration and game registration are separate.
3. Verify that no patches or maintenance is occurring. This information is posted in the News and Updates section of the forums.
Error: "Your login information is incorrect"
1. Verify that you have already registered the Free Edition of Minions of Mirth. Click on the "Register" button on the game's main menu to create an account. A copy of the registration information will be sent to the email address you enter. (Forum registration is separate)
2. Login information is case sensitive. Make sure to enter your Public Name and Password exactly as they appear in your registration email.
Lost Password and/or Login Information
1. If you remember your Public Name. Select Multiplayer on the game's main menu. Select Lost Password. Enter your Public Name and the email address you entered when creating the account. Your password will be emailed to you.
2. If you cannot remember your Public Name. Send an email to support@prairiegames.com and include the email address you used to register the game. The account information will be sent to that email address only.
You may choose to post your issue in the Suggestions, Bugs, and Problems section of the forums. Another player may have experienced a similar issue and be able to help you more quickly. Please do not post any personal information in the forums, including order information, email address, Public Name and/or Password, etc.

1. Include your system specifications;
2. Describe the problem you are experiencing;
3. Let us know whether you are playing the Free Edition or Premium Edition;
4. Attach the log_MinionsOfMirth.txt file found in .\Minions of Mirth\common\logs
